Understanding Reminder Suggestions

Jobodex automatically generates Reminder Suggestions to help stay organized at every stage of a job opportunity.

These suggestions act as smart prompts based on the current job status — helping plan next steps without having to think about what comes next.

Where to Find Reminder Suggestions

When a job opportunity’s status changes (for example, from Interested to Apply for Job), Jobodex automatically checks for relevant suggestions and changes the color of the bell icon in the toolbar from purple to red.

Tapping the bell icon displays suggestions relevant to that job opportunity status.

Each suggestion includes:

  • A clear title describing the action (e.g., “Write cover letter based on job description, hard skills and soft skills”)
  • An optional reminder type (such as Task, Networking, Research, or Follow-Up)
  • A due date, which can be adjusted before saving as a full reminder
When accepted, reminder suggestions appear in the Reminders section of that specific job opportunity and also in the Reminders section of the app.

What Reminder Suggestions Do

Reminder Suggestions are designed to:

  • Save time by offering next-step ideas for each status.
  • Encourage consistency across job applications and interviews.
  • Keep momentum by surfacing timely reminders tied to job progress.
They’re generated automatically and can be reviewed, accepted, edited, or dismissed individually.
Once accepted, a suggestion becomes a regular Job Reminder in the app.

Using Reminder Suggestions Effectively

Enable auto-suggestions. Go to Settings ▸ Reminders & Events and ensure “Generate Reminder Suggestions” is turned on.
Consistent use of reminder suggestions helps build a clear, repeatable workflow across all opportunities.

Check after every status change. New suggestions may appear as soon as the job’s status updates.

Accept what’s relevant. Only keep suggestions that fit the situation — others can be dismissed.

Adjust due dates. Each suggestion defaults to today’s date but can be moved to a specific day.
